Fischer Console
This piano was rescued by
our local piano technicians from being sent to the landfill! Like many pianos
from the 1950's, this piano had been manufactured with plastic resin parts.
Although the parts were beautifully made and were featured on some high quality
instruments, they became brittle over time. This lead to part failure and
rendered the piano useless.
We decided this piano deserved to be repaired and it was a good teaching tool
for some of our junior members. All plastic parts have been replaced with
high-quality Japanese parts. The keys have been refelted
for a firm, smooth, feel. The hammers have been reshaped for a clear and even
tone, and the action has been adjusted for a consistent, responsive touch.

Quality Vintage American Workmanship!
We purchased this piano from
a family in Lacey. When they acquired it, the piano was painted white! They
spent many hours stripping off the paint, sanding, and staining the cabinet.
While not a professional refinishing job, it looks pretty good for a
do-it-yourself job! We were impressed by the strength of tone and a very well
preserved mechanism. After refurbishing, we were even more impressed by
what a good sounding and playing piano this is!
