Maintenance Tuning: $135: This is a refined tuning that is possible only if your piano's overall tuning is already near standard pitch. This usually takes 1.25 to 1.5 hours. Pitch Adjustment Tuning Followed by Fine Tuning: $180 is necessary when your piano's tuning has drifted a significant amount from a finely tuned state. This appointment consists of 2 tunings: The first is a preliminary "rough tuning" (often called a "pitch raise") to bring the piano's overall tuning close to standard pitch. This is followed by a refined tuning. This type of appointment usually takes 1.75 to 2 hours. Extreme Tuning : $200 is necessary when your piano is way out of tune, or if the overall tuning is more than a quarter tone flat. That means when you play middle C the tone produced is actually closer to B. This often requires at least 3 tunings (all done at the same appointment) and special string flexing/straitening procedures to improve tonal stability. |

| The 2-Hour Service: With this approach, after completing the tuning portion of the appointment, the rest of the time is spent on additional maintenance such as cleaning, hammer reshaping, pedal adjustment, and improving the touch and tone. This is a more holistic approach to piano maintenance, and is what we recommend for most clients. This appointment is only possible if the piano is not too far out of tune.
